Raven Photographic is where Suellen takes over. An award winning photographer with exhibitions at the Hong Kong Fringe and the Cultural Centre, she specialises in wildlife and landscape photography. She started as a writer of travel articles, but in 1988 while travelling to Antarctica, she realised that she should be shooting photographs rather than taking notes. Since then she has continued a career in both disciplines with published articles and photographs on Belize, Cyprus, Nepal and the Alaska Highway. Her publishing credits range from the South China Morning Post, Pentax Magazine, numerous airline In-flight magazines to the Penguin News in the Falkland Islands. She shot entirely on medium format with her two Pentax 645 bodies and 6 lenses from 600mm to 45mm until 2004 when she went digital. The shot of a dolphin breaching was taken off Gibraltar and doesn't take into account the hundreds of rolls of film that had been shot to try to capture that 'decisive moment'. She graduated from Richmond College with a Diploma in Design and Photography in July 1997. A large amount of her work from around the world is lodged with the Travel Library who can be contacted at travel-library |
